How many players will be at each tryout?

With our tryouts we hope to average about 40-50 players at each showcase.

Is there a deadline to register for a tryout?

There is no deadline for any of our tryouts, but spots are limited. Players are taken on a first come first serve basis. We do recommend registering at least 4-6 weeks prior to the tryout to avoid the event being sold out. Registration must be completed online and paid via credit card.

What is the tryout format?

On day 1:

  • A wide range of advanced skill and dynamic technique training and evaluation, athletic testing sessions, small sided games and full-sided 11v11 games observed and coached by our professional coaching staff.

On day 2/3:

  • High intense press activities followed by 11v11 games observed and coached by our professional coaching staff.

What is included in the registration fee?

Registration fee covers your participation, insurance, all facility fee 's, scouts and coaches attendance in the showcase tryout session and event training ID shirt.  All players are responsible for their own food, travel, transportation, and accommodations during our 3 day tryouts. Unless held as a residency course.

Is the registration fee refundable if I pull out or I am injured during showcase?

The registration fee is Non-Refundable. If you register for the event and are unable to attend due to emergency, school, an injury, etc we will apply it as a credit to any of our other tryout dates. Credits are exclusive to their event type and are not transferable to other services or any other person. Credits are valid for one year. If you fail to notify us and just do not show up, you will forfeit your tryout entry fee and will not receive a credit for future events. We need to be notified at least 3 days before the event. 

How much playing time will I get?

Players are all guaranteed 75 minutes overall in our 11v11 game format. Our aim is for players to play more than the minimum 11v11 minutes and we hope to regularly achieve that. 

Which tests will we do? 

You will do multiple tests that will show our soccer professionals your athletic abilities as well as your soccer skills.

Will I play at my preferred position?

Our aim is for players to play at their preferred position for the entire duration of the tryout however it is not always possible. It is possible that a coach will like to see you in a new position and you must be willing and ready to adapt to coaches’ decision.


What are the coaches and scouts looking for?

Coaches and scouts are looking for players who have athletic, technical and tactical ability to play at the professional level. They are also looking for players who display professional attitude on and off the field, who are leaders, who are team players and who are very coachable. Players have to be in great shape, and we recommend that you start training for the showcase at least 6-8 weeks before the event. 

What do we need to bring to the tryout?

All players will be provided with a numbered event t-shirt at check in. This shirt must be worn to every tryout session, because it helps us to identify you.  We will provide soccer balls for all sessions, players are not to bring their own soccer balls to the tryout events. Players have to wear black shorts and black socks and bring cleats, running shoes, shinguards, tape, etc. We will provide bottled water for each showcase session.

What if tryout gets cancelled due to bad weather?

If both days of a tryout are cancelled due to inclement weather, you will get a credit to attend a future tryout. CI Soccer Showcase is not responsible for any travel costs or expenses incurred by weather cancellations. If only one day of a tryout is cancelled due to inclement weather, then the event will be deemed as operational and no credit will be issued to any player. We will try to make up for some or all time on the day that is not cancelled. 

Accommodation and transportation

Accommodation, food or any travel costs are not part of your tryout fee unless its a overnight residency stay at a college with room and room included.

If you are coming in from out of the area of camp please contact us and we will do their best to provide you with names of hotels in and around the vicinity if we are not having residency option.

Camp Details.

  • Ages groups: 17-26yrs

  • 2-3 day camp program.

  • Includes a numbered ID training jersey.

  • Black training shorts and socks are required for all players to wear and are available for purchase if needed.

  • Time allocated for daily sessions. 2 hours per day.

  • All 11v11 games will be recorded for after session evaluation and to send to other pro club coaches who are also in our network.

  • Intense training environment with Small Sided and 11v11 Games and high level training training the game demands

  • High level instruction to identify Players.

  • Professional scouts and coaches in attendance.

  • Thorough evaluation from coaches.

  • Coaches will speak on their own experiences as coaches/players or ex professionals.

  • The schedule will also include a Q and A session.

  • If good enough the top elite players at each camp will, through our professional coaches and scouts, have the opportunity to be placed in a professional club for a 10-12 day trial in phase 2.
